For best viewing results, a browser that adheres to HTML 4.01 and CSS2 is recommended, such as Netscape 7.1 or Internet Explorer 6.0.

Site Requirements

For the best results, the site should be viewed with a browser that:

• Supports CSS (style sheets have been carefully written to work for Netscape 4.x)
• A screen resolution of at least 800x600x16bit (optimally 1024x768x16bit)

Javascript is used to deliver the most appropriate stylesheet for your browser, and is highly recommended that it is turned on for this site.

The site has been carefully designed to be compatible with older browsers, javascript incapable browsers, stylesheet incapable browsers and text browsers.

Currently not all support for older browsers hasn't been completely implemented. Full support for older browsers in the works. Basically it was impossible to get the site redesign and complete old browser support written by December 5. It is however completely planned, and will appear when I get the remaining code for the new system written. Sorry for the temporary dust, if you're using an older browser. All the pages should still be available, just won't render terribly nicely in places.

W3 standard compliance (HTML and CSS) has not yet been verified / done yet, but is also a planned change for the completion of the site redesign. See W3C Compliance for a road map.

I'm no happier about it than you, but there are only so many hours in a day, even less when you count making a living and sleeping. :)

The latest Mozilla, Netscape and Internet Explorer browsers can handle the new site design without requiring any tweaks, which was completed for December 5. You shouldn't experience any problems when using these browsers.

It is now possible to control the look and feel of this site via themes. To configure the site to your preference, please choose one of the themes below.
Note: Cookies must be enabled in order for themes to work correctly. Otherwise you will always receive the default theme.

W3C Standards

Part of the redesign of Lost Horizons in December 2003 included the aim to make the site comply with W3C Standards.

The idea for this site arose in 1998. It started to become a reality, when ground work started late 1999. After many hours of research and compilation, this site finally went online on Saturday 19 February 2000. The last update was Sunday Feburary 27 2005.
